94 catalogued colts & fillies are presently in full preparation with Auctioneer Darren Ebert keeping an eye on progress to ensure a top quality presentation to local and interstate buyers, who are demanding better- bred and presented yearlings to the sales.
Darren Ebert has indicated the vendors have all been hard at work to attract the best possible prices or a yearling that suits every persons pocket with an added handling program and feeding regime.
Commercial winning sires of top class winning youngsters and sires with a proven track record at all levels are the major part of the biggest and best Redcliffe Yearling Sale held at Redcliffe.
Potential buyers have beautifully-bred and prepared lots to inspect, with great lookers with good breeding catching the eye of the smart judges from Brisbane’s Northside.
Egmont Park on the Darling Downs have a large selected draft, with the Burns Bloodstock quality stamp on them, Lot 29 a half-brother to Fussie Jussie 1:57.9 a colt by Chill Factor from Dani Neptune, 9 winners from 11 foals is definitely a colt to inspect.

A great buy in the sale includes Lot 43, with buyer interest already sought from vendor Kerry Ebert on his pre-sale preparation. This lively colt is by the Cambest TT 1:46.2 sire, Cammibest 1:50, who has return to Burwood Stud after increased demand for his Cam Fella sireline. Dam Do Little Del, a race winning mare by Fake Left is a full-sister to champion racehorse Just Turf 1:57.2 and a full-sister the Just Del, the dam of ID09 Heat winner and champion racehorse I Am Sam 1:54.4.
Monarch Farm’s Margaret Donohue has re-entered the sale ring with a choice selection of her best-bred and prepared yearling that suit many buyers wanting that change from the usual sources and make a change to a broodmare line-up second to none.
Australia-wide known for her particular class style of yearling preparation, a close inspection of this 2009 Redcliffe Yearling is demanded, under Monarch Farm with Mile s McCool yearlings a standout among a good class of yearlings.

Cold Mountain Stud Cup was another exciting fast-run feature race, with the Stephen Cini trained Stature gelding Concorde a clear winner with Gary Whitaker doing his finest work in the sulky in a hard-fought driving finish from Bonny Wee Laddie from the Darrel Graham stable and driven by Adam Richardson (a new lad from Wagga working in the Glamorganvale stable).
The sub 2:00 bonus for trainer and driver was challenged but not taken as the MR was 2:00.5 and mostly would have been beaten with a little more early pace.
