This popular gear/horse auction will be the last until Spring, MPA encourages members and trial watchers to come and stay to enjoy the flair and excitement of Lou and his boys entertaining and selling bargains of the harness racing world, a new untried horse or a horse of experience will get you heaps of fun and something for all the family to enjoy.

Recent sales have seen good-priced winners come from the auction purchases and many trainers and horse-breakers are using the gear purchased at low prices to help sustain their involvement in the industry, with the high cost of gear and equipment from major suppliers, out of the reach of hobby people.

Lou will have a detailed list of horse for auction available the week before the auction and harness and tools are able to be booked in the day before to him directly.

At this stage MPA has 10 sires to listed $1,000 to $2000 in stud fees, they are form local studs, plus southern studs for semen transport.
The MPA services are for sire service to the relevant sire purchased only, and all other extra stud or transport costs are the purchases responsibly.

More news on trials and racing at Marburg in August will be forthcoming shortly, when official decisions have been made and the MPA is informed.
Marburg Pacing Association is also pleased to be a major sponsor of the 2009 Standardbred Association Queensland Annual Show at Gatton Equestrian Centre in August and our own Warren Cummins will be a guest judge on this occasion. The members of SAQ are a great fund raising arm of the MPA and with their work on Standardbreds after racing or for the ones not good enough to race is recognized by the MPA Committee and members as they are genuine concerned lovers of the Standardbreds, as we are. The MPA encourages participants in the industry to seek out these members on a Sunday morning at Marburg to place an un-wanted Standardbred for home placings. Also they a great organisation to join for Muster Days and other group weekend events they organize for trail riders and work-outs...Trevor.
