THIS IS A STORY SENT TO ME BY A DUTCH LADY I MET IN AUSTRIA AT THE WORLD AMATEUR DRIVER'S CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2005..IT SHOWS HOW MUCH CLAUDIA VAN DER LANS LOVED HER HORSE..THERE IS A LESSON FOR US ALL...12/07/2011..
hey my australiën friend , whats up ??
I have a little story to tell :
you never can guess , my horse , the one I raced with 5 years ago , is back .
I sold him 5 years ago , when we had to leave the stable , we then rented , to a girl , 15 years old , unter the condition , that if it did not workout , she should call me first , so I can take it back.
In the beginning i visited the horse a few times at his new stable , the girl however had an attitude , and she didnt like me to come and visit,
after a few times , I tried to get olympic (that,s the horse ) out off my mind .
after some time , maybe 2.5 years later , I found him on google , at a stable for old horses , in the middle of holland , and they could walk all day outside , but he was still owned by the girl .
that stable hade a website , so that I coulf follow him , without anybody nowing .
again 1.5 years later , he suddenly left that stable , and it didn,t say where he went .
so again I searches on the Internet , and found him in Belgium .
at a horse school for kids ...
I contacted that school , and i got a mail from a girl , she wanted to let children get into contact with horses , etc
and again , she was very contain with the horse , although the 1 e girl had not contact me , I fought well , its ok , he is ok.
after 1 year , i didnot hear anything anymore , I sent that 2e girl a mail , last december, to ask here how olympic was doing .
she told me , she had a sick child , and she hadn,t had much time , to see the horse .
and she wanted to get writ of it .
I amidiatly took aktion , en one week later , I had my horse back , without the first girl knowing it .
also , everything took 5 years , and he had a very hard time .
he was mentaly totaly dead , was very skinny , in know condition at all.
but know he looks so wonderfull , very joyfull , fresh from mind , and he has a round tumy again .
so the lesson i learned , is never give a horse to someone , you dont know , because often you can better let them shoot down . thats better for the horse .
But in this case I was there to save his as again!!
